This song originally appears on our "Pickled Hearts" EP (2015). We open a lot of shows with this song, and since adding Alan's key parts to the arrangement the band felt like this song needed a newer and better recording. This song is an exploration of existence through both space and time. The lyrics start with the fact that before any stars light hit Earth the Earth was immersed in total darkness. This idea of existing in complete darkness and anonymity fascinates me (Drew), and it reminds me/helps me to embrace light and color and life. Blue and green are the colors of the planet we live on, our home, and this song is a message to protect it, care for it, and to embrace it.
